1. Who we are
Birthday Twins ("we", "us") is a social application that connects people who share the same birthday. Contact: mybirthdaytwin.app@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), date of birth, gender, country, and optional profile photo.
- Content you create: stories (photos/videos), greeting cards (text, photos, voice recordings), wish lists, messages, and comments.
- Country and city: the country and city you type when you sign up, used to group people who share a birthday. We do not collect device location. The app requests no location permission, reads no GPS or network position, and never tracks where you are — in the foreground or the background. You can change or clear your country and city at any time from your profile.
- Device data: device push token (for notifications), app language, and basic diagnostics.
3. How we use it
- To operate the core features: matching birthday twins, countdown, cards, stories, and notifications.
- To show your profile and birthday to other users according to your privacy settings — you control who sees your birthday (everyone, friends, selected people, or no one).
- To keep the service safe (blocking, reporting, and moderation).
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with service providers needed to run the app: Google Firebase (push notifications), Agora (live features), and Sadad (payment processing for wish-fund contributions), each under their own privacy terms.
5. Your controls and rights
- Edit your profile and privacy settings (including birthday visibility) inside the app.
- Block or report any user.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your data at any time via mybirthdaytwin.app@gmail.com. Account deletion removes your profile and content from the service.
6. Data retention & security
We keep your data while your account is active. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on secured servers. When your account is deleted, associated personal data is removed within 30 days except where law requires otherwise.
7. Children
Birthday Twins is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
